Kingston · Lake Wakatipu · Otago, New Zealand
Craft beer from Kingston, Lake Wakatipu. Where the road ends and something good begins.
Kingston sits at the southern tip of Lake Wakatipu, 45km from Queenstown, where the tarmac ends and the real New Zealand begins. We built our brewery here because the water is cold, the air is clear, and nobody tells you what to do.
Small batch. No shortcuts. Beer worth the drive.
Small batch. Seasonal. Always something new.
Smooth and malt-forward with caramel and a clean finish. Named for the lake that feeds us — deep, cold, and worth returning to. This is the one we pour first.
Bold citrus and pine, named after the old steam train that used to roll through town. Some things deserve to be brought back.
Crisp and easy. Named after the local stone — sharp edges, smooth character. Exactly what you want after a long road in.
Dark and warming. Named for the hot nor'west wind that tumbles dry and wild over the Southern Alps. Some storms are worth sitting through.
Clean, crisp, cold. Brewed with glacier-fed alpine water drawn straight from the source. As honest as the lake itself — nothing to hide, everything to offer.
We're not trying to be a Queenstown bar. No cocktail list, no DJ, no dress code. Just good beer, honest people, and a view of the lake that'll make you glad you made the drive.
Grab a tasting paddle, settle in, and stay longer than you planned.
We keep the lineup moving. Flagships stay, seasonals come and go. Something new is always in the tank.
Can't choose? Try four. Paddles available any time — a decent way to work through what's pouring.
We don't do food, but Kingston Hotel next door does. Tell them you came from the brewery — they'll look after you.
The lake air is good for dogs too. Bring them. We have water bowls outside and nothing on the floor worth worrying about.
Head south from Queenstown on SH6. Keep going past the last petrol station. When the lake opens up on your right and the road starts to feel like it's running out of ideas — you're almost there.
